The judgment of the case stated that Dai Wenwen had been harassed by Nie, the boss of Dada Film and Television Company, for a long time, and suffered from depression. In addition, she had conflicts with the original company's development and share ratio, so she proposed to terminate the contract. However, the company believes that Dai Wenwen's depression "will not affect her filming." As the owner of a film and television company, Nie was himself married. He also pursued Dai Wenwen. The failure of his pursuit turned into long-term harassment. Such behavior broke the bottom line of apology, and the court also condemned this behavior.

Dai Wenwen revealed that in 2017, Nie often sent her WeChat messages. Although the woman made it clear that she would not accept the ambiguous relationship with Nie, Nie still pursued her closely, saying that Dai Wenwen will always be his "only cherished princess." If Dai Wenwen dated a boyfriend, he would "spare no effort to destroy Dai Wenwen's boyfriend." Nie's wife Chen testified that Nie did not harass Dai Wenwen, but that Dai Wenwen caused ambiguity by half-pushing and playing hard to get. However, the court held that Chen was Nie's wife and a related person in the case, and the testimony was not accepted.

In the end, the court found that there was a certain causal relationship between Dai Wenwen's depression and the long-term harassment of Dada Company boss Nie, and Dada Company had breached contract. Coupled with other breaches of contract by Dada Company, the court finally ruled that Dai Wenwen's termination of the contract was legal, there was no breach of contract, and there was no need to pay liquidated damages.
