Zhang Hongsen, Director of the Film Bureau: We must dare to face the masses

Director Zhang deeply shared his learning experience with the teachers and students present in detail based on the study of General Secretary Xi's speech at the symposium of literary and art workers and the current development status of my country's film industry.

On May 20, 2015, the school specially invited Zhang Hongsen, Director of the Film Bureau of the State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television, to deliver a special report entitled "Implementing the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's speech at the symposium of literary and art workers and prospering people-centered film creation." The special report meeting was presided over by Professor Hou Guangming, Secretary of the Party Committee, and was attended by school leaders, mid-level cadres, all party members and party activists.

Director Zhang deeply shared his learning experience with the teachers and students present in detail based on the study of General Secretary Xi's speech at the symposium of literary and art workers and the current development status of my country's film industry.

He said that film is an important part of literary and artistic work. Whether in film teaching, film research or film creation and production practice, as teachers and students of the Film Academy, we must take the spirit of the General Secretary's speech as our fundamental guidance, and we need to carefully understand the spirit of the speech. He first mentioned the current "Four Comprehensives" strategic layout and strategic deployment vigorously promoted by the central government, and the important tasks of the "Two Centenary Goals". As filmmakers, they should be deeply aware that literary and artistic work facing the important tasks of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation should also shoulder unshirkable responsibilities. He focused on the five important issues raised by General Secretary Xi in his speech. First, literature and art are the first to transform the spiritual world of Chinese people. In literature and art, movies are at the forefront and core position. The General Secretary said,"Raise the flag of spirit and establish spiritual pillars." Building spiritual homes are inseparable from literature and art ". This is the sacred mission and responsibility of film workers; Second, the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation in the "Two Centenary Years" is inseparable from the prosperity of Chinese culture. Its specific task is to create excellent works worthy of the times; Third, we must adhere to the people-centered creative orientation. May 23 this year marks the 73rd anniversary of Mao's speech at the Yan 'an Forum on Literature and Art. 73 years ago, Mao pointed out at the symposium that the fundamental issue of literary and artistic work is who is the problem. To this day, literary and artistic workers need to seriously think, think repeatedly, seriously analyze, and repeatedly analyze this fundamental and principled issue, that is, all excellent literary and artistic works come from the people and feed back to the people. Literary and artistic work must be oriented to the people, the public, and more people; Fourth, the spirit of China is the only soul of socialism, and artistic creation must reflect the core values of socialism. The highest realm of art is to make people move, let people's souls accept baptism, and let people discover the beauty of nature, the beauty of life, and the beauty of soul; Fifth, to strengthen and improve leadership over literary and artistic work, we must closely unite the majority of literary and artistic workers and fully respect the laws of art and creation.

Director Zhang talked about three learning experiences based on five issues: First, adhere to the people-centered creative orientation, and creators should regard themselves as part of the people, rather than as a special person isolated from the people. We must consciously regard ourselves as part of the people, and we must have the responsibility and state of breathing together and sharing a shared destiny with more people; Second, our wisdom, talents and thoughts must be shared with more people, and artistic creation must Step out of the state of self-admiration, small circle culture, and self-isolation. Art workers should have the spirit to let the people accept and accept our works in the huge market system composed of the people and the audience; Third, our works must ultimately be handed over to the people for evaluation. We must dare to hand over their works to history and time, that is, dare to hand over their works to people at different historical stages and different time periods for acceptance, testing, evaluation, and appraisal. We should be applauded by people with the greatest common denominator in the world. This is a real masterpiece.

When talking about the current status quo of my country's film industry, he said that China's films are currently in a good stage of healthy development, which is reflected in the fact that the growth of my country's film box office plays an engine role in global box office growth; the activity of the capital market has greatly promoted the activity of film productivity and provided good conditions for the release of the wisdom, talents and ideas of the majority of film workers; the construction of movie theaters is advancing by leaps and bounds; the team of film talents has expanded rapidly; Film language, film technology, and film aesthetics have all been expanded and improved to varying degrees. Now facing strong pressure from American films, we must compete for cultural initiative, increase research on the differentiation route and audience behavior of China films, and further enhance the competitiveness of the film industry.

In the end, Director Zhang said that the essence of studying the spirit of the General Secretary's speech at the Symposium on Literary and Art Work is to adhere to the people-centered creative orientation. The purpose of creating excellent works is to make the people happy to hear and hear, regard the people as the main body of our film artistic expression, and regard the people as the main body of acceptance of our film aesthetic appreciation. We must dare to face the people and the market, and create works that can withstand The times, history, and more people's test may be a long-term task facing our film workers in the future.
