Recently, foreign media reported that Legendary Pictures, which parted ways with Warner a year ago, is preparing to hand over the film to Warner. The two sides will also jointly develop the monster movie "King Kong vs. Godzilla".Legendary Pictures and Warner were once one of Hollywood's most successful partners, teaming up to launch Christopher? Nolan directed very successful works such as the Batman series, Inception and the Hangover series. Last year, the two sides terminated their cooperation, and Legendary Pictures turned to cooperate with Universal Pictures and signed a five-year cooperation agreement.
But Legendary Pictures and Warner want to get back together because of common interests. Foreign media Deadline reported that after Warner's success in shooting "Godzilla" last year, it will create a new monster movie series. Legendary Pictures hopes to add value to the image of "King Kong" in its hands, not only transferring "King Kong: Skull Island" originally scheduled for Universal distribution, to Warner for distribution, and will also teamed up with Warner to produce a monster movie with the theme of "King Kong vs. Godzilla". However, the news has not been confirmed by Legendary Pictures and Warner.

If Warner and Legend formally collaborate, it is unclear whether King Kong will appear in "Godzilla 2" or an independent film.
