Tian Jin said that the pursuit of high realms and the establishment of big sentiments must have "five manifestations" in China documentaries and documentaries, including embodying the value background, embodying the style of the times, embodying the emotions of the people, embodying cultural roots and embodying broad vision. "An important reason why there are not many excellent works that are well known nowadays is that there are not enough concentration in creation and not enough careful training. It is impossible to produce a good work without taking time to experience it and thinking about it." Tian Jin said.

In recent years, China's documentary industry has entered a stage of vigorous development. According to the "China Documentary Development Research Report" released in April this year, the total annual production investment of China's documentary industry in 2014 was approximately 1.9 billion yuan, and the total revenue was approximately 3 billion yuan, an increase of 33% compared with 2013. The total investment in documentaries by national television stations is 1.304 billion yuan, accounting for 68% of the industry's total annual investment.

Tian Jin said that starting this year, the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television will implement the "Double Hundred" plan of "Hundreds of People, Hundreds of China Dream Short Documentary" and carry out the activities of "Entering Military Camp and Campus" for documentaries; strengthen systematic and scientific theme planning and implement the "Documentary China" project; study measures to promote the separation of documentary production and broadcasting on the premise of adhering to broadcast rights franchising; Smooth channels for new media to purchase and broadcast excellent documentaries, and encourage Chinese and foreign co-production of excellent documentaries with "China themes and international expressions."
