Heavyweight DJ producer Bass Guo confirmed participation in ADE Music Festival

WhileJiuzhi Network Newsis making a major move into the field of electronic music live, Modern Sky recently signed a heavyweight DJ music producer Bass Guo. Its Live Set performance format will also be named "Hundred Temple Country" and will be co-operated with well-known live musicians. This is the first time that Modern Sky has officially signed a personal DJ producer outside the electronic music group. It can be said to be another breakthrough in its deep penetration into the electronic music field. Bass Guo's first big move after signing the contract was to go to Amsterdam, the Netherlands, in October to star in the Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE for short).

Domestic rock fans may be more familiar with Bass Guo's other identity-Guo Yan, the songwriter, lead singer and bassist of the Dragon God Road Band under Modern Sky. As the first true reggae band in China, Dragon Shendao was formed by the country in 2007 and established its important position in the music industry with its two albums "Embrace" and "Freedom". In his early years, Guojian also joined heavyweight rock bands such as Cold-blooded Animals and Ruins, and participated in recording albums such as "XTX","Only One Wish","Guzheng Reggae", and "Wukong".

However, he has never been subject to his identity as a "famous rock musician", but has repeatedly attracted attention with his open and diverse exploration of music. In 2012, Guojian released the solo guqin and jazz trio album "Return of Four Elephants". In the same year, it hosted the "China Moon" series of electronic music parties as a DJ. Since then, its personal electronic music plan has gradually improved.

Since 2014, Bass Guo has frequently appeared on the electronic stage of large-scale music festivals such as Strawberry, and has become an invitation target for major electronic music festivals across the country. Following the launch of the single "I Say" with Long Shendao in 2015, the popular Dutch DJ group The Partyquad, in 2016, Bass Guo collaborated with The Mansion Records to simultaneously release the single "Asian Zoo" in China and Europe. Whether on site or in the studio, Bass Guo is already the most promising new player in the domestic electronic music industry.

In recent years, Guo Jian has led Long Shendao to many times invited to Japan, Australia, New Zealand, South Korea, Canada, Europe and other countries and regions to participate in music festival performances and tours, and even appeared at the world's largest Glastonbury Music Festival in the UK last year. In October this year, he will return to Europe as DJ producer Bass Guo and be invited to appear on the stage of the Amsterdam Dance Event Electronic Music Festival.

The annual ADE Music Festival is the world's largest performance exchange event between electronic music fans and global DJs and labels. This year, more than 2000 DJ musicians from all over the world will be invited to perform in more than 150 venues for nearly a week. The invitation list includes many super electronic music giants such as Tiesto, Knife Party, DJ Shadow, Hardwell, and FKA Twigs. Currently, Bass Guo has appeared on the artist invitation list on the official website of the music festival.

Outside the scene, Bass Guo's first solo album will also be pre-recorded by the end of this year. Its post-mixing and master tape production will be completed in Europe in cooperation with local producers. This is undoubtedly an electronic music record with international temperament and standards, and Bass Guo's multiple musical identities and diverse cultural backgrounds have given the album a lot of suspense.

From signing a contract with Dragon Shendao Band to joining as a personal DJ producer, Bass Guo's indissoluble bond with Modern Sky is one aspect of China's rapidly updating new music landscape, and will surely promote the accelerated integration of China's new music into the electronic future of global music.
