Actor Pang Shengzhi challenges difficult tragic characters for the Shanghai premiere of the drama "Beautiful Scenery on a Beautiful Day"

On June 8, the China-Russia cooperative drama "Beautiful Scenery on a Beautiful Day" premiered at the Shanghai Drama Art Center. The play was adapted from the traditional screenplay created by screenwriter Zhao Yaomin 1997. This time, it was re-created and integrated by a Russian director to combine the traditional simplicity of Chinese Kunqu Opera with the form of modern drama, showing unique poetry. Jin Li, the character played by young actor Pang Shengzhi in the play, has a complex and confused mentality and is also the main narrator of the development of the entire play.

Jin Li left home since childhood. His physical disability prevented him from inheriting the art of Kunqu Opera. His painful experience made him feel inferior and timid. The mixed feelings of secret love and maternal love with the heroine of the story, Jin Xiu, made the character's mood extremely complex. In addition, the role also requires the actors to have various talents such as playing flute, drum, calligraphy and Kunqu opera singing. They have high requirements for the actors in terms of state of mind and skills. Under such pressure, actor Pang Shengzhi successfully completed the interpretation of this character.

In 2015, Pang Shengzhi was admitted to the Shanghai Drama Art Center with first place, and won the Most Potential Newcomer Award at the just-concluded 22nd and 23rd Zolin Drama Art Awards Ceremony. His solid acting skills were recognized by the drama industry's predecessors and audiences. In addition to his attempts in drama, in 2018, Pang Shengzhi also participated in the film "Lanxin Theater" directed by Lou Ye. Between the stage and the screen, he relied on his sincere heart for performance to work deeply. Let us look forward to him in the future. Wonderful performance.
