The 27th National Hearing Day| Listening and Seeing Program joins hands with Fudan Pediatrics to focus on children's hearing health
On March 3, 2026, on the occasion of the 27th National Ear Care Day, around the theme of "All people love ears scientifically and jointly protect hearing health", the famous actor and director Mr. Wu Jing and the famous host and actor Ms. Xie Nan jointly launched the Beijing New Sunshine Charity Foundation's "Listening and Seeing Plan" charity special fund, together with the Pediatric Hospital Affiliated to Fudan University, and with the auditory cognition experts of East China Hospital, And the PCC People-oriented Hearing Rehabilitation Expert Group jointly carried out a public welfare activity with the theme of "Discovery and Care of Hearing Fatigue in School-age Children". This activity aims to enhance the public's scientific understanding of hidden hearing problems in school-age years and deeply popularize the concept of scientific ear use to families. This is not only a transfer of professional knowledge, but also a gentle exploration and protection of the child's auditory world.
The activity built a trinity science popularization matrix of "medical diagnosis and treatment + rehabilitation guidance + family care". Through expert science lectures, one-on-one free consultation and exclusive questionnaire screening, an open hearing health class with both professional depth and humanistic warmth was brought to more than 20 groups of families on site. The content extends from the early identification of "hearing fatigue" and the development of scientific ear-use habits to the key points of hearing screening and interpretation and daily care for hearing-impaired families, effectively delivering understandable and useful ear protection knowledge to parents and children.
At the event site, Chen Wenxia, Director of the Department of Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery of the Pediatric Hospital Affiliated to Fudan University, shared key data: the incidence of hearing impairment among school-age children in my country is as high as 54%, far exceeding the neonatal period. She emphasized that compared with obvious hearing loss,"hearing fatigue" is becoming a hidden factor affecting the learning efficiency, attention and mental health of school-age children, and the impact on children who are already hearing impaired is more profound. Focusing on the typical manifestations of school-age hearing impairment, the deep correlation between hearing fatigue and learning behavior, early screening paths and diagnosis and treatment plans, the expert team provided in-depth explanations. It was pointed out at the scene that by optimizing the acoustic environment and giving children sufficient emotional understanding and safe expression space, the hearing burden can be effectively alleviated and a clear direction for family scientific ear protection can be provided.
From hearing fatigue identification and scientific ear use habits, to hearing screening knowledge and key points for hearing-impaired family care, this activity popularizes hearing health knowledge in all aspects, helps more families understand abnormal signals from ears, and builds a solid foundation for children's hearing health. Protect barrier.
Coinciding with the Lantern Festival, the Listening and Seeing Plan also sends heart-warming gifts to hospitalized children, accompanying the children with gentle thoughts to warm the festival, and letting love and the festival go hand in hand.
In the future, the Listening and Seeing Program will continue to gather social efforts, continue to pay attention to children's hearing health, and use various measures such as medical assistance, science popularization, and rehabilitation care to protect every child's healthy listening, so that every childhood can have a clear voice. In the world, hear love and see the future.
