Original title: Seven Agatha novels to be adapted into film and television dramas

According to foreign media reports, Amazon has purchased the rights to broadcast seven film and television dramas adapted from Agatha Christie's works in North America. The first of the seven books to be available to the audience is "Verification of Innocence", an adaptation of the novel of the same name published in 1958.

"Verification of Innocence" will be filmed in Scotland this month. It is produced by BBC TV and produced by the behind-the-scenes team of "No One Lives" and "Witness for the Prosecution". The drama has three episodes and the cast includes Alice Eve, Ira Purnell, Ed Westwick, Luke Treadway, Elinor Tomlinson, Morvin Christie, etc. This novel is one of Agatha's favorite works. It was made into a movie in 1985, and Fay Donaway starred in the film.

The contract was signed by Amazon with Agatha Christie Productions, which has been managing the copyright of Agatha's works; the latter successfully cooperated with the BBC to withdraw from the series "No Man Lives" and "Witness for the Prosecution" in 2015 and 2016 respectively. The contract stipulates that Amazon has the streaming rights to seven future dramas adapted by Agatha Christie in North America.
