Qi Wei's "M" seeks the "other me" in parallel time and space

On April 14, Qi Wei returned with a surprise with the new music single "M". Different from the previous regular model of traditional songs paired with MVs, this new song release will simultaneously launch three episodes of mini music movies. The mysterious suspense visual texture and the interlocking story details, as well as Qi Wei's charming Gothic style in the film, are all very eye-catching. As soon as the news came out, it aroused heated discussion among fans across the Internet.

On the 14th, the first chapter of the mini music movie "Enigma" was the first to be launched. The next day, the sound source of "M" was officially released, and the second chapter,"Seeking", was released simultaneously. A symbol, a castle, a song... In the mini music movie, Qi Wei uses her unique voice to sing softly, showing the audience a story about redemption and rebirth.

Is the mystery from one century to another gorgeous or hidden?

Time and space never restrict people's imagination. Regarding redemption and rebirth, from the very beginning, we constantly searched and solved the mystery. What we sing is a story, but what everyone hears is a different ending.

In the single "M", Qi Wei conceived the story of a pair of "eternal sisters": in a place connecting the past and the future, here and in the distance, she traveled across the century to find another self. Based on this conception story, producer Daryl K found a melody like a spell, which also inspired Qi Wei to write her lyrics. In the lyrics, Qi Wei transformed herself into a witch, turning the seemingly fragmented lyric scene "stretching out silver wings from the flesh and blood/bright wings/above the wind/above the clouds/printing a faith", giving it a rebirth in the storm.

The visual presentation of "M" adopted the same musical film format as "The Stolen Things". After a lapse of seven years, and this time the story begins in Warsaw, Poland. In Warsaw, a city known as "rebirth", there seems to be always romantic and mysterious stories happening on every street and corner. Everything ancient and mysterious is waiting for "M" to awaken. There is not a single line, but it brings the audience's attention to a long-lost mysterious castle in each painting.

In the first chapter,"Enigma", the castle that spanned three centuries has long become a hotel. Guests coming and going only accept women to stay over. Who are you waiting for? The second chapter,"Seeking", officially opens the door to this mysterious castle. In an unfamiliar and familiar environment, it seems that there is another self here. Who is she? Can eternal longing find another self about her and her spells, the secrets of the winding forest? And that eternal love... All the mysteries are waiting to be revealed in the final chapter "Secret".
