At the scene, Chen Guanzhong said that he began his "life-long literary career" from French New Wave movies in the 1960s and 1970s, but the problem was that French theorists at that time opposed clear and easy-to-read works. even when he read, he often had the feeling that he "didn't understand but thought it was awesome." "some books are very important, others are difficult to translate." according to theorists in the 1960s and 1970s, "good-looking" is not the standard, so how is it possible to evaluate translation? In response, Dong Qiang responded that the works or theories of a certain era may pose difficulties for translators, but, "99% of a book cannot be read because the translator has not translated it well." Dong Qiang believes that no matter how difficult a book is to read, it has its own logic, that is, a set of rules of the game. If the translator can understand the rules of the game, the translation can be clarified. He takes literature as an example, the life of a writer lies in his style. If the taste is not right, it is not the writing style that the writer will have, then the translation is not good. Take social science as an example, a historical period will have its specific institutions, professional titles, and so on. Incorrect translation is a problem. In a word, "the book is an organism and has vitality". If the translator does not grasp it well, its vitality will decline.
