Original title: "China-Europe Film Co-production Summit Forum" to see how domestic and foreign film and television leaders talk about co-production.

On May 26, during the 70th Cannes International Film Festival, it was initiated by China Film Co-production Company. The Microfilm Era and "Watching Movies" jointly held the "China Face to Face" and the "China-Europe Film Co-production Summit Forum" held in Cannes.

In recent years, as China's film market has continued to expand, Chinese and foreign co-productions have also increased year by year, and the exchanges between China filmmakers and international filmmakers have become closer. At the forum, leading figures from the domestic and foreign film and television industry gathered to exchange co-production experiences. At the same time, they held in-depth discussions on how to overcome cultural differences in co-production, better highlight China elements, and tell China stories well.

Miao Xiaotian, General Manager of China Film Co-Production Company, Yang Dan, Senior Vice President of Microfilm Times and President of Yuyue Films, Ye Ning, Vice President of Huayi Brothers Media Co., Ltd. and CEO of Huayi Brothers Films Co., Ltd., Philippe Godeau, Famous French producer, director and screenwriter, Dr. Gao Qunyao, Vice President and CEO of International Business Department of Wanda Cultural Group, Roberto Stabile, CEO of International Department of Italian Film Imaging and Multimedia Industry Association, Famous French director, screenwriter and producer Philippe Muyl (who has directed "Butterfly","Magic Caravan", and the Sino-French co-production "Nightingale") attended the forum, and Patrick Frater, editor-in-chief of the Asian edition of the famous American entertainment magazine Variety, served as a special guest. Looking at the China film market in recent years, co-production has become a major trend. Ye Ning said that the market is short of talents, so co-production is inevitable.

Many co-productions have symptoms of acclimatization. Ye Ning and Yang Dan both agree that cultural differences are due to greater reasons, and are also optimistic about their future co-productions.

Yang Dan believes that finding connections with local audiences is the best way to solve cultural differences.

Philippe Godeau, who has rich experience in co-production, said that cooperation with China filmmakers is being planned, and good stories are the basis of cooperation. Philippe Muyl, who once participated in the co-production of "Nightingale", will also have plans for the next co-production.

From this perspective, as a newly emerging company, it can be said that it is quite far-sighted for the lithography era to invest early in cooperation with European filmmakers.

In this regard, Yang Dan believes: "China's film market is developing rapidly. If you don't get up early, you will fall behind. The lithography era is a young company. We first developed in the field of online ticket purchasing and have accumulated 100 million consumers in two years. But we are not limited to this. We seek cooperation with movies around the world, not only Hollywood in the United States, but also colleagues across Europe. The era of lithography strives to learn from European filmmakers through cooperation, learning from working methods, content expression, actual shooting operations, etc., so as to help the development of China films through such in-depth exchanges and learning, and to better communicate with users and audiences. And strive to bring good things to China in cooperation, and then promote good China films to the world."

, said that one of the purposes of co-production is to bring the films they produce to the world, which coincides with the concept of lithography.

China Film Co-Production Company, Microfilm Era and "Watching Movies" have jointly built a friendly and efficient cooperation and sharing platform for Chinese and foreign film practitioners, film companies and fans. As China films cooperate more closely with the world, co-production films have become a hot topic of attention around the world. While promoting cultural exchanges between China and foreign films, it also provides good and deeper cooperation between China filmmakers and international filmmakers and brings more possibilities for cooperation. We earnestly hope that more and more Chinese and foreign co-produced films will make great achievements in the international market.
