The Listening and Seeing Plan sends New Year's voice gift packages to 111 hearing-impaired children: Let every expression resonate

From silence to hearing the world's first call, to bravely speaking out your own voice, this is a journey about encounter and growth. As the New Year approaches in 2026, the Beijing New Sunshine Charity Foundation Listening and Seeing Program Charity Special Fund co-sponsored by the famous actor and director Mr. Wu Jing and the famous host and actor Ms. Xie Nan provides 111 hearing-impaired children who are in different stages of hearing recovery., sent a special New Year gift. This gift aims to inspire words with books and empower them with melodies. It includes 22 language enlightenment books, 41 sets of microphones and 48 portable stereos, allowing these children to become the protagonists of their own voice stories.

The Beijing New Sunshine Charity Foundation Hearing and Seeing Project Charity Special Fund was established on April 7, 2024. Its predecessor was the "Hearing and Seeing Project" launched in 2018. Special funding is provided for cochlear implant surgery and hearing aid fitting for hearing-impaired children, as well as for surgery for cataract patients in high-altitude areas. The project vision is to allow the voice and beauty of the world to be heard and seen. This New Year gift event for children is an extension of continuous care and innovation for children's auditory rehabilitation and language social integration after completing key medical assistance.

Gifts are not uniform, but are tailored to the different ages and hearing recovery status of the 111 children. This reflects the warm concept of the coexistence and integration of precise funding and humanistic care in the Listening and Seeing Plan. For children who have just completed the booting of a cochlear implant or hearing aid fitting and are in the period of auditory awakening and language enlightenment, language enlightenment sound books are an excellent assistive tool; while for children who have entered school age and need more language expression and social practice, microphones and speakers can encourage them to speak bravely and participate in the chorus of voices. We not only focus on making children "hear", but also focus on making them "hear clearly" and "understand", and ultimately learn to speak and integrate into society.

This refined support stems from the professional experience accumulated through in-depth cooperation between the project and top domestic medical resources. The project has cooperated with many authoritative hospitals such as Peking Union Medical College Hospital, Beijing Children's Hospital Affiliated to Capital Medical University, Pediatric Hospital Affiliated to Fudan University, and Beijing Tongren Hospital Affiliated to Capital Medical University to jointly carry out assistance. As of February 2026, the project has completed a total of 104 cases of cochlear implant surgery for hearing-impaired children and 7 cases of hearing aid fitting for children.
