A

colorful ancient myth
, a soul-stirring fable of human nature
, a unique civilization gene-Nuwa mends the sky.
Every nation has its own ancient myth. The fact that these myths can be passed down for thousands of years proves that these myths contain lasting values and carry the deep national spirit. Today, we tell our story aloud to the world, the story of China, an ancient civilized country!
"Nuwa mends the sky" is one of the oldest myths in China. Nuwa, who "kneaded the loess and became a human being", was the creator of mankind in the legend of the Han nation. Another achievement of Nuwa was to "refine five-color stones to mend the sky." According to ancient books, Gonggong, the water god, and Zhurong, the fire god,"fought to become emperor" and "became angry when they were defeated". They broke Buzhou Mountain, the pillar supporting the sky, and the sky collapsed and the earth collapsed. In the end, Nuwa moved to mend the sky and save the world. Through the story of mending heaven, oratorio praises the national virtues of benevolence, kindness, hard work, fortitude and loyalty. It also contains reflections on the traditional ethics of talking about "heaven" and practicing "heaven". As the Chinese nation is on the road to rejuvenation, we must have spiritual support so that we can go further.
The oratorio is composed by passers-by and composed by Huang Anlun, a famous Chinese composer living in Canada. Mr. Ke Ke graduated from Peking University and Yale University in the United States. Over the past ten years, he has created scripts for the chorus suite "Overseas Wanderers" and the oratorio opera "Yu King Governing the Water","Gale Song" and "Mending the Sky".
Chinese composer Huang Anlun uses his flying magic pen and transcendental creative style to build a three-dimensional and beautiful chorus building, and to his enjoyment. He uses powerful and dazzling symphony music language to show the mythical color of Nuwa's sky to the extreme. Huang Anlun's works cover almost all types of music, and his music has been widely and successfully performed at home and abroad and has responded enthusiastically.
With its mysterious melody, shocking harmony, rich texture, and unpredictable orchestration,"Mending the Sky" is another masterpiece of the composer.
The concert was hosted by the American Silicon Valley Choral Arts Alliance and the American Wanderer Chorus. "Paying the Sky" is also a project of the 2017 "Trans-Pacific-China Art Festival" in the San Francisco area of the United States.
