China and South Korea sign a memorandum of cooperation to promote films in selected theaters in South Korea

China Film Archive and the Korea-China Cultural Center signed the "Memorandum of Understanding on the Establishment of a Permanent Film Theater in China." The "Memorandum" stipulates that the China Film Archive will be responsible for providing China films of different periods and different themes to the Korea-China Cultural Center, and South Korea will be responsible for promoting them to South Korean audiences in fixed theaters in Seoul.

On November 19, Tong Gang met with a six-member delegation from the Korea-China Cultural Center led by South Korean National Assembly member and former Minister of Culture (Minister) Chung Bin-kuo.

Deputy Director Tong Gang met with Chung Byung-kook, a member of the Republic of Korea's National Assembly and former Minister of Culture of South Korea, and his party. The two sides

had in-depth discussions on how to strengthen exchanges and cooperation between China and South Korea in film. After the meeting, the China Film Archive and the Korea-China Cultural Center signed the "Memorandum of Understanding on the Establishment of a Permanent Cinema of China Films." The "Memorandum" stipulates that the China Film Archive will be responsible for providing China films of different periods and different themes to the Korea-China Cultural Center, and South Korea will be responsible for promoting them to South Korean audiences in fixed theaters in Seoul.

Relevant responsible comrades from the Film Bureau of the State Administration, the Department of International Cooperation and the China Film Archive attended the meeting.
