The box office of China films exceeded RMB 44 billion in 2015, and domestic films accounted for more than 60% for the first time. The box office of the Spring Festival in 2016 hit record highs. The rapid development of China's film industry has inspired a series of strategic cooperation with major film countries such as Hollywood, the United Kingdom, India, Japan and South Korea, covering content, intellectual property, talent, capital, technology, distribution channels, etc. This forum gathered twelve film industry leaders from Asia to discuss how the film industry should seize the opportunities brought by the globalization of China films from three major perspectives, with a view to analyzing the development trend of China films from different perspectives., attracting more than 200 participants to attend.

Exchanges and interactions at the film festival are conducive to promoting the vigorous development of China's film industry

At the Forum, Ms. Liu Xinxin, a member of the Office of the Organizing Committee of the Beijing International Film Festival, partner and senior vice president of Art En, said that China's film industry is booming, and the entire industry will have more development opportunities. Through exchanges and interactions between major film festivals, diversified cooperation can be deepened.

She emphasized that, first of all, the film festival is an external window to a region, and its platform is particularly important. All content resources on this platform are open. She said that the Beijing International Film Festival is actually one of hundreds of film festivals around the world, but because China is the world's second largest market, in the just-concluded February, China set a new box office record of China, with a growth rate of 67%. On February 14, it hit a record single-day high. Beijing is also the manufacturing and distribution center of all Chinese films. Although the Beijing International Film Festival has only six years of history, But it has also become the top international film festival in China.

Among the most high-profile venture capital segments in the film market, almost all award-winning venture capital projects have been invested and launched, and some have already been released. Judging from the number of projects collected, last year, the venture capital unit of the Beijing International Film Festival collected a total of 455 projects, but this year the number reached 674, far exceeding the total number last year.

Secondly, President Liu believes that interaction between film festivals will become increasingly important. As China's film market continues to improve in the global position, China's film festivals have also become more global. When the Beijing International Film Festival is held every year, chairmen of world-renowned film festivals are invited to participate. The purpose is to strengthen interaction between film festivals, provide each other with good film screenings or good venture capital projects and project venture capital that supports new directors and new teams. For example, the Film Market Venture Capital Unit of the Beijing International Film Festival cooperates with the Cannes Film Market with the Cannes New Filmmakers Fund to bring newcomers to China films to the international market for further study and study, giving young filmmakers more opportunities to integrate with the world.

After all our participants ended a few days of gathering, negotiations on various cooperation have just begun, and everyone's relationship network and resource network have begun to gradually ferment.
