In order to strengthen cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries and actively promote the "going global" of China's contemporary film and television works, the State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television recently issued the "Notice of the General Office of the State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television on Relevant Matters Concerning the Selection of Outstanding Film and Television Works for Translation Funding", which will be selected nationwide Excellent TV dramas, films, animations and documentaries will be selected for translation funding.

All relevant film and television institutions:

In order to strengthen cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries and actively promote the "going global" of China's contemporary film and television works, the State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television will select excellent TV dramas, films, animations and documentaries nationwide for translation funding. Eligible film and television institutions may apply to the Provincial Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television Bureau, which will be approved by the provincial bureau and stamped and reported to the State Administration. Relevant matters are hereby notified as follows:

1. Content of the work: TV dramas, films, cartoons, and documentaries that represent the mainstream ideological value of our country, showcase the excellent traditional culture of the Chinese nation, and truly reflect the image of China's country.

2. Institutional qualifications: a film and television organization that has copyright of works (or can coordinate multiple copyright entities), can organize high-level translation work, and has a clear overseas sales and promotion plan.

3. Application Materials:

(1) Fill in the "Application Form for Funding for Translation of Excellent TV Dramas, Films, Cartoons, and Documentaries"(attached);

(2) A copy of the application institution's radio and television program production and operation license, TV drama distribution license, and animation distribution license;

(3) A copy of the application institution's business license must be stamped with the official seal of the unit;

(4) Relevant copyright authorization documents or translation authorization documents of the application work;

(5) 2 DVDs of the application work;

(6) Proof of the overseas sales performance of the application institution.

4. Time requirements: The application materials should be reviewed and stamped by the Provincial Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television Bureau. The paper version of the materials should be sent using Postal Express Mail (EMS) before February 29, 2016, based on the local postmark date. Please send the electronic version to the email address: zonghechu @ chinasarft.gov.cn. It will not be accepted after expiration.

The State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television will review the application works, and the review results will be notified separately.
