Marriott International Group connects Alipay to welcome China passengers

Through cooperation with Ant Financial, the largest electronic payment service provider in China, Marriott International Group will first connect to Alipay in 10 hotels in Greater China, and plans to expand to all hotels in China and Asia by mid-2016. currently Alipay has more than 400 million registered users and more than 200 financial institution partners, processing more than 120 million transactions a day, more than half of which come from mobile payments. According to the cooperation between the two sides, hotel guests can simply scan their proprietary QR code or bar code to pay when they check out at the front desk, or they can choose to pay in advance before checking in. This innovative payment option allows guests to complete check-out faster.
