Currently, Pony Benteng is fighting with CCB International, which was once the second largest shareholder of Pony, and Fandao Capital, which has invested in the TV series version of "The Golden Robbery" and other companies such as Pony Capital are facing Bo Gong. Pony, who faces huge claims, may apply for bankruptcy protection.

In November 2014, the legal representative of Xiao Ma Benteng was changed from Li Ming's widow Jin Yan to Li Ming's sister Li Li. Before the board of directors that decided on this power change was convened, the company's shareholders took away the company's official seal and the original and duplicate copies of all business licenses of Xiaoma Benteng and its subsidiaries without authorization. After Jin Yan announced these details through Weibo, more than a dozen management members including the company's financial director Fu Yi, production director Zong Qingping, and the contracted screenwriter of Pony Benteng issued a joint statement expressing their support for Jin Yan.
