China Children's Art Association was established in 1986. It is a national public fundraising foundation registered by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and registered by the Ministry of Civil Affairs. The Children's Art Association adheres to the core concept of "literature and art light up life, dreams create the future" and regards children's culture and art as its core work. In 2015, China Children's Art Association launched the "Hand in Hand Plan" to provide each orphan and poor children in old areas with a monthly subsidy of 200 yuan to help them grow up healthily. Over the past three years, the "Hand in Hand Plan" has successively helped needy children in old areas in Yimeng Mountain in Shandong Province, Dabie Mountains in Anhui, Yanchuan in Shaanxi, Chengkou in Chongqing and other places. It has distributed relief money and "safety packages" and "love nutrition packages" worth more than 10 million yuan., has been widely praised by society.

Linyi City is a famous old revolutionary area in Yimeng. In 2017, China Children's Art Association, Linyi City Customs Working Committee and Linyi City Charity Federation jointly launched and implemented the "Hand in Hand Yimeng Plan" rescue project. With Shandong Province Youfang Charity Foundation as the implementing unit, the first batch of funding for 101 children in need. The precise positioning, precise assistance, and careful management of the "Yimeng Hand in Hand Plan" and the "three-in-one" operation model of government, enterprises, and social organizations provide valuable experience for promoting the project in old revolutionary areas across the country.

The theme of this public welfare performance is "Inheriting the Red Gene and Striving to Be a New Person of the Times". It aims to keep in mind the revolutionary tradition, promote the Yimeng spirit, vigorously promote the "Yimeng Hand in Hand Plan", which targets orphans and poor children in old areas, and build a bridge between all walks of life and aided children.

On the morning of the 26th, the Children's Choir of China Children's Art Association wore red necklaces and visited the Menglianggu Battle Memorial Hall. They carefully viewed every exhibit in the exhibition hall and received revolutionary traditional education; Kan Lijun, president of China Children's Art Association, Zhu Shaoyang, director of the Customs Working Committee of Linyi City, and Wang Haoyu, secretary of the Mengyin County Party Committee, visited the aided children together; Famous hosts of China Central Radio and Television Station Nathan, Scarab, and singer Chu Haichen led the children of the Children's Choir of China Children's Art Association to the Red Army Primary School in Menglianggu, where they recited poems, played games, and exchanged gifts with the children there. At 3:30 pm on the 26th, local people gathered under the scorching sun at the Menglianggu Battle Memorial Square in Mengyin County to watch the performance. The large-scale public welfare performance event "Hand in Yimeng and Give Love" to celebrate June 1 was hosted by famous CCTV anchor Nathan and famous children's program host Scarab. It kicked off in the enthusiastic and lively opening song and dance "Our China Dream." Wang Li, the fifth-generation actress of Sister Jiang, sang "Red Plum Zan" with high and passionate emotion, and the eternal red classics were unforgettable; the older generation of artists Hong Yun and Liu Jihong recited "Hand in Hand in Hand at Yimeng" with passion and touching. Later, President Kan Lijun sang a song "My Motherland and I" to thank the people of the old district for their support for public welfare undertakings; singer Chu Haichen, who came out of Yimeng Mountain, sang "Yimeng Daughter" affectionately; Liu Hegang stepped on stage to sing "Father" and "Roll Up Your Sleeves" pushed the event to a climax.

At the end of the performance, children from the Children's Choir of China Children's Art Association and the Children's Choir of Mengyin County jointly sang "The Red Star Sparkling" and "The World of Love." The children of the two places joined hands and showed love together,"inheriting the red gene and striving to be a new person of the times."

Mengyin County is the hometown of peaches. Local artists sang songs such as "I Love Peach Blossom, I Love Home" and "Ode to Yimeng". Children also brought the audience the innocent children's dances "Ballad Rowing by the Oar" and "Flying Butterfly". The interactive performances between artists and children brought together a sea of joy on and off the stage.

The "Yimeng Hand in Hand Plan" project has received strong support from all walks of life, and many caring companies and caring people have responded actively. Twelve caring organizations and caring companies including Shandong Province Youfang Charity Foundation, Shenzhen Hanmo Telling Culture Hotel Company, Linyi City Volunteer Service Group for Orphaned and Poor Children, and Neufit Dairy Company donated 2.22 million yuan to the "Yimeng Hand in Hand Plan" on site. The audience applauded warmly for their good deeds. At the performance site, one-year relief money was also distributed to 20 representatives of aided children in Mengyin County, and 10 outstanding volunteers for the "Yimeng Hand in Hand Project" project were commended.

Through the "Hand in Yimeng and Giving Love" charity activity, a "love bridge" has been built between all walks of life and children in the old district, allowing more artists and caring people to enter the old district and contribute to the healthy growth of children in the old district.
