. There are more than 500 contestants in the finals of this Hong Kong Golden Bauhinia International Youth Piano Competition. From the preliminary round to the semi-finals, they went through more than 10 groups and were screened one by one in more than 30 provinces and cities including Beijing, Suzhou, Guangdong, Sichuan, Guiyang, Shandong, Liaoning, Jiangxi, Guangxi, and Hebei. Finally, they stood out among nearly 20000 registered players. The oldest age is 24 years old, while the youngest age is only 4 years old. On the day of the finals, the competition was unprecedentedly exciting. More than 500 players were divided into 25 groups and competed at the same time in four venues including Variety Hall, Y Theater, Dance Theater 1 and Dance Theater 2 in Hong Kong's Chai Wan Youth Square. In addition to the group competition, the organizing committee also selected a total of 6 outstanding players aged 7 to 12 for the final competition. The 8th Golden Bauhinia Young Artist Award was born. Finally, 12-year-old Hebei piano boy Sun Shengyu won the Golden Bauhinia Young Artist Award and the Open Group Championship, becoming the winner of the entire competition.
