Concert of Russian classic romantic and opera works held in Beijing

the evening of June 8, the 2018 European and American Alumni Association's Cultural Series of the Russian Classic Romance and Opera Works Concert "hosted by the Beijing Russian Cultural Center and the European and American Alumni Association, and co-organized by Taishan College and Beijing Academy of Performing Arts will be performed at the Concert Hall of the Russian Cultural Center in Beijing.

Alexander Sergeyevich. Pushkin (Russian: Але к са́ндр С е рге ́ евич Пу́ к ин, Russian Romanization: Aleksandr Sergeyevich Pushkin, June 6, 1799-February 10, 1837) Russian poet, playwright, novelist, literary critic and theorist, historian, and political commentator. An outstanding representative of Russian Romanticism, the founder of Russian realism literature, and one of the most prestigious figures in the field of literature in the early 19th century. He is honored as the "sun of Russian poetry", the "father of Russian literature", and the founder of modern standard Russian. Pushkin's poetic novel "Evgeni Onegin" provides a panoramic view of Russian society at that time and can be called an "encyclopedia of Russian life." Representative works include the poems "Ode to Freedom","To the Sea","To Chadayev","I Remember the Wonderful Moment","Ruslan and Lyudmila","The Bronze Knight", etc., the long poetic novel "Evgeny Onegin", the short story "The Queen of Spades", the novella "The Captain's Daughter", etc.

The concert was performed jointly by soprano singer Fu Dawei and baritone singer Liu Bingqiang, and piano art directors Liu Yuanyuan and Zhang Hanzhi. The singing repertoire includes "Don't Sing the Beauty" composed by Rachmaninov, the arias in "The Queen of Spades" composed by Tchaikovsky, and the stage fragments of the opera "Evgeni Onegin". The concert ended in Greinka's "I Remember That Wonderful Moment." The elegant and beautiful soprano and the powerful and profound baritone complement each other and complement each other. The singer's vivid performance and superb singing skills won bursts of applause and cheers from the audience.

All the tracks presented at this concert are romantic songs and opera fragments based on Pushkin's representative works. Some of the host's words are also selected from poetry collections.
